[Redraw] Stay Fresh

Gosh, I really miss drawing Splatoon art. Especially, the Squid Sisters. Reminds me of those old K-pop groups that I used to listen to.

Time: 8 hours (That's still incredibly long but at least it costs less time than any other simpler drawings)

First of all, I myself was shocked at the result. There finally is some progress after all. This barely looks like my art style or nearly like any of my previous drawings. At first, I was going over the abundance amount of sketches that never got colored and tried. I got pretty bored and almost wanted to give up because the usual shading technique just took too long. I didn't bother to search for tutorials or study other people's art. Just played around with the color wheel and brush opacity and there was finally some results. It took me less time to mix and blend the colors and it looked great. Guess if you try hard enough, there will always be some benevolent results. I kinda missed the legs there, because...poor sketch planning.

Here's the process. I finally know how to color the skin! Kinda took a while playing around with the Hue, Saturation and Value. It's not realistic but it looks better, don't you think? About the eyes, I just applied a simpler style because drawing the eyes like I did before would take a lot of time. Besides, I should only use it in portraits. Hair, clothing and decors, I applied the base color then just used brighter colors to make it more lively. Background is just meh. I'm really bad at graphic designing. I should learn more on that.

Well that's all I have to say. Hmm... should I redraw more of my art or go on and draw other things? Considering when I draw something I'm actually proud of, bet the next one would just look bad. Anyway, I think I should put the 'featured'. Really reminds me of the good times, and high school, and that one IRL friend who said the original drawing was terrible (thanks for being honest). Also, it was the first time that I drew something but ponies. Gotta admit, this is one that I started to stop drawing ponies.

Also, if you are wondering about it... I choose Callie. I like her bright colors and lively personality.

Personal life note: It's getting harder for me to breathe properly since I have to take deep breaths. I didn't go through any rough dramatic emotions or was it the nostalgia. It only affects my ability to draw slightly but I just want to point that out. I have plenty of time till New Years so hopefully, I could dump out at least 3 deviations at most.
